Want a pathway to gain aerospace certification?

Great opportunity to gain other methods.

I'm looking for multi-method NDT technicians that seek a job with a guaranteed opportunity to gain aerospace certification in their methods (EN 4179). Is this you?

Full training and mentoring to achieve experience hours will be provided.

This role requires work to be undertaken with clients in the aerospace and other industrial sectors, so you'll still have your current PCNs re-certified.

I'm particularly interested in those with ET Level 2 certification.

If you already have aerospace certification and experience even better - especially with L2 ET.

The work is extremely varied in nature and will be carried out at my client's premises in Cardiff, the rest of the UK, and occasionally abroad.

Hours of employment

37.5 hr working week.

Salary benefits

Relocation assistance up to £7k is on offer. There are opportunities for overtime, but it is the exception rather than the rule. Overtime can also be taken off in lieu.

  •    Eddy Current Testing Level 2; EN 4179 especially desirable.

Job requirements

  •    Level 2 certification in more than one of the following NDT methods: RT/UT/ET/PT/MT/VT.
  •    Current level 2 qualifications to be held in line with PCN, EN4179 or SNT-TC-1A certification schemes.
  •    A currently held ET level 2 qualification or extensive experience hours within the method would be desirable.
  •    Good IT skills.
  •    Good communication skills.
  •    Ability to manage workload and to work both productively and in a competent manner.
  •    Hold a full UK driving licence.
  •    Display good time management skills and flexibility when required.

Job responsibilities

  •    Competently carry out NDT inspection work both individually and as part of a team when required.
  •    Perform required process control checks for each relevant test method, to applicable company standards.
  •    Accurately interpret inspection results in accordance with customer specifications and produce fully detailed reports/certificates.
  •    Be competent in carrying out inspections both at client's facilities and at customer’s premises, including on long term contracts.
  •    Capably participate in relevant department audits, both internal and external.
  •    Maintain test equipment/instrumentation and to implement any necessary calibration/servicing requirements.
  •    Be willing to attend client facilities around the UK and abroad.
  •    Adhere to quality standards expected of an NDT Level 2 technician.
  •    Be open and to participate in further learning processes and to develop additional NDT expertise/qualifications.
