Job description
To support my client's growth, I'm seeking a motivated NDT Technician to work predominantly offsite within the Stratford upon Avon area.
Based in Derby but travelling to Stratford during the week and assisting with NDT on a long-term contract that require volumetric (UT) inspections.
This is a permanent role, working on average 50 hours per week for the current long-term project (lots of contracts in the pipeline with a similar workload).
Accommodation and expenses provided for off-site jobs (hotels are booked by the company, daily allowance is allocated. Anything above the daily allowance will be re-imbursed when a receipt is produced.)
You will carry out NDT of weld repairs of rolling stock, and collaborate closely with my client's small team of welders.
As an NDT Technician, you will also be responsible for assisting with the specification, documentation, and verification of NDT requirements for my client and their customers. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all NDT activities within the business align with industry requirements, particularly BS EN 15085.
My client specializes in providing a wide array of services to the rail rolling stock industry, including repair, overhaul, consultancy, testing, and training. With expertise dating back to 1994, they have established themselves as a trusted partner for many of the rail industry's largest and most renowned companies. Their order book is expanding. For example, they have just become Network Rails' preferred supplier of welding & NDT, so there's plenty of work - an exciting time to join!
