My client has obtained impressive financial backing to develop and propel their inspection product into the global NDT market. The company in question designs and manufactures advanced ultrasound technology for the testing and inspection of materials. Their team of experts in ultrasound, analogue and digital electronics and software have developed a novel ultrasound transducer that produces high-resolution images and a user-friendly advanced Ultrasonic platform.
As this innovative and pioneering company expands the footprint of their equipment around the world, they are looking for a dynamic individual to join them in supporting and driving their growth strategy into the European market.
Purpose of Role
With proven leadership and strategic sales experience, the NDT Sales Manager will take a European perspective on NDT market opportunities and lead the sales and marketing endeavours in their designated region. (This will depend on language skills and regional market experience).
This individual will optimise the company's current market value, and visible product placement in their region.
They will also be required to help drive the development and execution of a progressive new commercialisation strategy, focused initially within aviation and aerospace, allowing for the phased introduction of, and expansion into other NDT industry markets.
Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will:
Lead and develop technical sales and end user support by providing technical demos to clients on site (or remotely) to allow sales to progress. They will understand the end user requirements in relation to the product, and effectively demonstrate its merits through independent material testing and supporting clients to better understand the latest advancements within the platform.
Seek out and nurture major clients in any valuable emerging markets, forming successful working relationships with the premier buyers (technical and non-technical) in all core industries.
Accurately forecast future sales by developing and implementing the company's sales strategy across key market segments to ensure that the company identifies and optimizes a clear path to aggressive growth, whilst predicting and adapting to shifts in the marketplace.
Develop collaborative working relationships within the organization (CCO-CEO-COO-CTO) in pursuit of the company's overall business goals, ensuring consistent strategic leadership in defining the continued commercial path to growth and profitability.
Serve as a business representative at major industry events, conferences, trade shows, and expositions.
Fluent in English and at least one other: French, Spanish or German.
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful commercialisation strategies in NDT Sales Market.
My client would also consider experienced NDT Technicians with a desire to undertake the challenge of building an NDT sales career from the ground up. Especially those who operate in the German sector.
NDT Level2 or Level3 in Ultrasound and 5+ years' practical NDT experience.
Understanding of fiscal principles to oversee budgets and financial activity within the areas of oversight.
Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to analyse, collate, and effectively present data, with knowledge of concepts, practices, principles and procedures of strategic business planning and reporting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a wide range of industries (Aviation and Aerospace as highest priority) and market levels.
Salary and Benefits
Salary to be negotiated based on experience. Includes generous sales commission and company shares provision.
The successful candidate will be expected to serve a 3 month probation period.
