My client is a global provider of Testing, Inspection and Certification services for a diverse range of materials and products - one of the fastest growing testing, inspection, certification and calibration businesses in the world. They have an opportunity for a Dye Penetrant (PT) and a Magnetic Particle (MT) technician to join their lab in Sheffield. Responsibilities: Conduct a variety of tests using established methods Tasks to be performed both in the laboratory and off site Prepare test specimens, set up and adjust test equipment and record test data Analyse and interpret test data Maintain related test equipment, tools, and machinery in good working condition Other duties as assigned. Skills/Certifications: Individuals need to be or have been certified to EN 4179 and/or NAS 410 Level 2 in Dye Penetrant Inspection and Magnetic Particle Inspection
o Are you an experienced NDT technician that is able to manage and motivate a small NDT department for a Specialist Welding House to the Rail Industry.
o Reporting directly to the Engineering Director, you will be responsible for two other technicians onsite and support a small self-contained team of offsite welders and NDT technicians.
o You must be proficient in the testing of welds using the following NDT methods: MT & PT (both daylight visible) and UT. Visual inspection also required
Are you an Ultrasonics Level 2 Technician with experience of the aerospace sector? Have you carried out immersion UT techniques?
