My client, a low volume high value manufacturer of security x-ray systems for screening post, bags, or suspicious packages, requires the expertise of a highly skilled Senior Production Engineer/Assistant Production Manager to help them maintain their reputation as consistent market leaders.
You would lead a small production team that is responsible for delivering product integration, inspection, and testing.
A team that has been with the company for years - a testament to the work environment and company culture.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for problem solving/failure analysis of my client's product and support 3rd line service issues.
You will work alongside the product development and design team, integrating Design for Manufacture and manufacturing best practice.
Test and inspect product as required.
oYou will be the manufacturing and test expert, providing, support advice and training to the team.
oWork with design and projects team to manufacture and deliver bespoke products and ensure product is manufactured in accordance with specification and customer requirements.
Hands on experience of production/repair of electronic equipment (preferably x-ray)
A strong team ethos with the ability to support across business functions.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to support and facilitate a team effectively.
Knowledge of operational processes such as procurement, manufacture, integration, testing and servicing of manufactured parts.

Accurately forecast future sales by developing and implementing the company's sales strategy across key market segments to ensure that the company identifies and optimizes a clear path to aggressive growth, whilst predicting and adapting to shifts in the marketplace.
Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful commercialisation strategies in NDT Sales Market.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a wide range of industries (Aviation and Aerospace as highest priority) and market levels.

The candidate will become an integral part of Brookes Bell's growth in the field of advanced non-destructive testing.
Undertake training to become highly skilled in a number of advanced NDT/NDE methods.
Execute welding and plant inspection, eddy current testing (ECT), ultrasonic testing (UT) and surface inspection methods (VT, MT & PT) - including advanced ET & UT techniques - on items of static equipment, structures and associated piping/tubing.
Experience with Pulsed Eddy Current Testing (PEC) - highly desirable.
Rate £45 per hour (negotiable)
