Job description

Are you a Fluorescent Penetrant Testing technician that is looking for a role with the prospect of genuine career progression?

Do you want to be a part of an expanding business moving to a brand new facility?

My client is a leading international manufacturer of high-precision alloy components made for the most demanding conditions. Their site in Droitwich has exciting plans for growth and you could be in at the beginning of an expanding inspection team.

Purpose of role

Inspection of cast products for surface defects in accordance with client specifications using fluorescent PT techniques, SOPs, work instructions and processes to ensure quality standards are achieved in the product.

Genuine prospects for advancement

As this is a new site, supervisory heads will be required pretty soon once the workforce beds down. By the end of 2022, at least one supervisor will be required per shift. This position would command 15 per hour + shift allowance.

In the future, the plan is for one of those supervisors to be placed in the succession plan to replace the Level 3.

Teamwork: Building and valuing strong partnerships with colleagues, customers and suppliers. Working hard to break down any barriers, respecting differences and valuing different viewpoints. Acting as 'one team' and all pulling together in the same direction.

Excellence: Delivering high-quality, precision work, first time, every time. Continuously improving our systems, processes and training and learning from mistakes. Working to achieve zero injuries and a safe working environment for all.

Commitment: Being honest and transparent in all dealings with our colleagues, customers, suppliers and partners. It means always doing the ethical thing, at every level of the organisation and within the communities where we operate. It means holding each other to account for doing things in the correct way. Known for trustworthiness and courage.

Integrity: Passionate about providing the best possible service to our customers and each other. Going the extra mile to deliver our promises. Understanding and being accountable for all the impacts of what we do - on the business and our colleagues, on our customers, communities and the wider environment. Seen to positively drive action and accountability.
