A warm welcome to our May Newsletter.

It seems hard to believe but there's only a few days left until UK lock down restrictions are lifted a little further, allowing us even more personal and professional freedom. I don't know about you, but this has left us feeling extremely optimistic and energised for the approaching summer season.

As we emerge from the remnants of the last 15 months, it is encouraging to report a sharp increase in movement and investment across all NDT sectors, and in this edition of our monthly update, we would like to extend this positive sentiment to our subscribers, sharing news of our exciting new and ongoing partnerships and requisitions with you all. We will also be offering some more expert insight and advice on how to go about successfully navigating the determination of your contractors' IR35 status.

Business is Taking Off...

As you may recall, NDT Resources has secured exclusive rights to a recruitment partnership with an NDT industry pioneer, to assist them in expanding their sales team. They have obtained impressive financial backing to develop and propel their inspection product into the global NDT market. Their team of experts in ultrasound, analogue and digital electronics and software have developed a novel ultrasound transducer that produces high-resolution images and a user-friendly advanced Ultrasonic platform.

My client is now in a position to recruit a number of European Regional Sales Managers to aid in their global expansion, a prospect we are currently assisting them with - completing preliminary interviews with suitable candidates as we speak. Having been fortunate enough to visit their premises in February last year, and subsequently securing the successful hire of their current CCO, we are excited to be a part of their ambitious growth plans.

We are also excited to announce ongoing and forthcoming relationships with five other clients who operate in the maritime, defence & security, aerospace, fabrication and energy sectors. Although all with differing job specs, requirements and expectations, the one thing these companies have in common is the desire to find the candidate with NDT skills and knowledge that fit their needs. Simply put, this is why they have come to us.

A case in point: One of our clients, who operates in the maritime sector, wishes to find a dynamic individual, with at least five years' experience, capable of working autonomously and able to operate offshore with certification in ET, especially PEC, UT and other methods besides, in order to carry out corrosion mapping and other diverse inspections. Due to our expert understanding of these requirements, we have been able to refine the person specification and exclude some applications that other, non-technical recruiters would have passed on - it is not all about certification. As a result, we are in a unique position to present the employer with accurate candidate profiles, meaning the only decision they need to make is how on earth to choose just one!
