busy here of late. In this edition we would like to take a moment to illustrate the

long-term NDT contractor for them – they were having significant
difficulty. Who are they? Terma are a global company
headquartered in Denmark, providing pioneering technologies and
engineering solutions for the aerospace, defence, and security
sectors. It was their aerostructures division based in Grenaa,
Denmark, that made the call. What knowledge, skills and experience did this NDT technician
need to have? - Knowledge of aerospace inspection standards and codes
- Knowledge of aerospace product technology
- Certified in Radiography, Level 2
- Aerospace composite parts (CFRP) inspection experience
- Certified in Digital Radiography, Level 2
In the aerospace OEM sector, technicians are primarily employees
of the company – not too many freelancers. Regarding the above
requirements: The first three are not too hard to find; the last 2
are incredibly rare.
Oh, and let's throw in the pandemic and restrictions applied to
various nationals entering the country. To avoid visa and right to
work considerations, an EU national was the preferred choice.
